Mary Drinkwater shared this darling exchange that happened last week at their house:
Jane (6, in Orange Roots): Mom, you were in The Sound of Music, right?
Mary: Yes, That was the summer before I married your dad.
Susanna (4 in Blue Bugs ): And, were you the girl that taught the children a major scale?

AMAZING! It really becomes second nature to them. Music becomes a part of their thought process forever and a joy throughout their lives. LOVE IT!!

i love it! she's not even remembered as maria- but for what she taught the kids. :) cute story- cute girls!

Funny, we've been watching Sound of Music lately and when that "Do Re Mi" song comes on, my little one (3) says, "Hey mom, that's your song". :)
