We all know that success grows little by little, from strong, healthy, deep roots. As I look at my Jess, I remember him in his final Let's Play Music recital, proudly playing his own composition at age 6. Age 6! His feet didn't even touch the floor when he sat at the piano! But, he had some roots there. Serious musical roots. Notice his confident little face as he displays his piece of music and his trophy!
Now, at 10, he plays the saxophone and guitar, and is fabulous on the piano. He sightreads, sings harmony and composes all the time. And he loves music!
Now those are some serious ROOTS!

awww... what a cute little confident face! he is such a great musician!!

It amazes me that so MUCH can be instilled in such a small child to the point where it becomes such an integral part of who they are! Music really does have an influence on everything else that they learn-- influence meaning, it makes them better in so many other subjects that you wouldn't think were even related. WOW!!

Way to go Jess! and all the other Orange Roots and LPM graduates out there! It's great that when they graduate at age 6-8 they're already past all the things that can be frustrating to new piano students. They already have the skills that allow them to love music which motivates them keep playing it!
